NEPAL
so am in a new country and was reminded by a german guy that i have this website, which i had totally forgotten about. Have recently: walked over 200 miles, discovered new strength, eaten a lot, played the guitar, been very close to Tibet, seen a double rainbow, learned that i like the lifestyle of doing nothing, seen a wild musk deer, climbed about seven million stone stairs, gotten a fever of 103 at the top of a mountain, and decided to go to thailand at some point.
cool. i lead a very cool life at the moment.

AGRA for forty altranian dollars a day...
er, make that 20 us. if i avoid buying that starofindia pendant i have my eye on.
monkeys, elephants, wild pigs, cows, goats, sheep, chickens, horses, camels, geckos, green parrots
that's what i've seen. in indian cities, not in a nature preserve.

DELHI!!!
there is so much here...so much. i can't even...
ok, i got up at 6:30 today (AM. really, mom.) and it's now 9:30. and we've pretty much been touring non-stop. i've climbed more temple/mosque/tomb steps today than...well, than any of you, that's for sure.
favorites so far: autorickshaws, chai, india gate, lotus temple, the wellmannered concierge at the Smyle inn.
things not so favorite: little kids that press their noses against the window of the taxi begging; the guards peeing on the walls of an ancient fort; the vendors who refill water bottles/cokes and sell them as clean&fresh; the fourteenth century that i got in my eye, my mouth, and my first warwound.
more very very very soon. am just extremely tired at the moment, and not willing to try to upload pics etc. god this place is amazing.

doldrums
yes, i'm about to break out of tennesse. however, before i do i have a list (even LONGER than the one below) to complete. one item of which is address compilations. if any of you want and/or expect postcards, you'd better email me your address.
went and burned patient records with my dad today. one part amazing, one part cathartic, and one part incredibly sad. just paper, yeah, but they represent so much. he turned to me and said, 'i was thinking about this and decided that the work is in the people, that these are just the records. so it doesn't matter.' which is true, yes, but he went off by himself a few times during the burning, just sort of standing and watching a decade of life go up in smoke. it's such an unraveling feeling to watch your parents have emotional moments.
